READ: kahit na obvious which networks im talkin bout here, ill still try to be less harsh as possible. give my try-hard subtlety a break.
thursdays have usually been less-stressful for moi, what with the deadlines i am 90% done. last night was an exemption.
fan ako ng isang drama show ng isang VERY popular network (di naman OA na fan, gusto ko lang cya coz ang galing ng stories and of course the way they produce it). even if a rival network came up with a counter-show, dun pa rin ako sa gusto ko kasi i find the rival very T.H. when it comes to drama.
kaya lang kagabi, dear PAObulas, DEFINE DISMAYA ang nangyari... and mas nagustuhan ko ang show ng kabila.
why? here are SOME of the rather disappointing points why: (from this point, S1 is former fave show and S2 is the rival's. S1's ep was on the life of a former child "star, S2's was on a starlet's. OMG IM SO OBVIOUS. oh well...)
1. with S1: San ka nakakita ng isang 6/7/8-year old na nagsasabing, "mahal ko ang pag-aartista, mahal ko ang pagkanta..." and by "nagsasabi," i mean ung alam nya ang cnsabi nya as in alam na (do i need to explain this?).
with S2: Ok ang spiels, hindi halatang spiels. Natural enough to make the viewers feel what the actor feels.
2. with S1: ALMOST terrible miscast. had the wife of a pastor (and cge na nga, ung "PX boy" na rin) snubbed this project, bagsak na talaga ang casting. pilit ang english accent ng 2nd child actor (the teenager in the teenage life of the so-called child star). and i wonder, saang resto kaya nila nakuha ung guy na nag-portray ng father ng bida?
with S2: VERY nice, if not REALLY REALLY good, cast. ratio of good to bad actors was... let's see... 5:1. kahit na di marunong umiyak ang isa sa mga bida, still naconvey pa rin ang emotions na dapat i-convey.
3. with S1: again, halatang umaarte ang mga umaarte.
with S2: effortless.
4. with S1: on dialogues, balagtasan ba ito?
with S2: parang naririnig kong nag-uusap (sisigawan) ang mga kapitbahay namin, casual lang.
5. with S1: OK ang props, simple pero magaling. location-wise, maganda ang choices.
with S2: ganyan ba talaga kahirap ang pilipinas? un lang.
now i see why S1's network's rank is, well, sliding, dear PAObulas. apparently, their last hope for snatching back the throne ay hindi naaalagaan. and worse part? they're not aware of it.

ok on to business.
this is supposed to be a journal, right? i really like doin journals (i think i have had about twenty already since i was only 1 cm in size). saya. oh well...
im at work right now, supposedly working. but we're still a few days before ACTUAL press work so ok lang tumanga. di ko lang inakalang nakakapagod pala talaga ang pagtanga. buti na lang may ym. at kausap sa ym.
aktwali, marami ako gusto gawin.
gusto ko kumain, pero diet ang bulsa* ko so... wag na lang.
gusto ko na tapusin ang assignments ko, but i havent enough info to even write an intro... so wag na lang.
gusto ko matulog, pero andito ang isa sa mga boss... kahit hes nicey-nice (and im not THAT makapal)... so wag na lang.
gusto ko na umuwi dahil i dont have anythin to do around here anyway, pero andito nga ang boss... so wag na lang.
gusto ko manood ng movie, pero wala ako kasama (at diet nga ang pocketS* ko)... so wag na lang.
gusto ko i-design ang sarili kong stylesheet, pero tinatamad ako kasi malamig... so wag na lang.
at gusto ko nang simulan ang bago kong story, pero malamig nga AT NAKAKATAMAD... so wag na lang.
see? marami ako gusto gawin. gusto lang.
